Convert RAW to ‘ODIM HDF5’

Hi,

I am a new member. I want to use ‘LROSE’ to convert ‘SIGMET - raw format (Vaisala)’ to ‘ODIM HDF5’. My raw file includes several products ‘Z,T,PHIDP,ZDR and ….’ and I want to only has reflectivity ‘Z’ in ‘ODIM HDF5’ format.

To do this, I installed ‘lrose-cidd-20210524.bin.x86_64.tgz’

The CIDD display is tricky to compile, requiring a 32-bit mode for the build.
We compile CIDD and package it up into a binary tar file, from which it can be installed.

You can find the tar file under the latest releases page on github:

Here is an example name from the 2020/06/09 release:

## Download the tar file

Untar the file into a temporary directory. Here we use the above file as an example:

Everything was OK but I do not know if installation was successful or not. How can I check it?

Now after installation, I want to convert my raw data to ODIM HDF5 (only have ‘Z’).

What should I do next?
